They served up their first slice of Cheese Toast, made with parmesan-crusted French bread, at the Sizzler on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood in 1968. By the time National Cheese Toast Day was first celebrated in 2015, more than 12 million slices of Cheese Toast were being served every year, and Sizzler restaurants were found not only in the United States, but in locations around the globe like Thailand and Australia.\nDuring the early years of National Cheese Toast Day, Sizzler gave out free Cheese Toast at participating restaurants.
